Civic and CR-V owners in cold climates keep finding the dipstick above the full mark. It is fuel, the cause is well understood, and the fix is mostly software plus driving habits.

Direct injection sprays fuel straight into the cylinder. On a cold engine some of it condenses on the cylinder walls and drains past the rings into the sump instead of burning. A long drive boils it back out; a series of five-minute trips in winter never gets the oil hot enough, so it accumulates.
